Hamilton Board President Paul Johnson will be recognized by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce as the city’s Citizen of the Year for 2020 in a virtual ceremony on June 1 at 3:00.
The Outstanding Business Achievement Awards ceremony is open to all – you can register at https://www.hamiltonchamber.ca/events/37th-virtual-outstanding-business-achievement-awards/.
The award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Hamilton community and who have brought outstanding and remarkable attention to the Hamilton community beyond our municipal borders. Paul, who is currently serving as the director of the city’s Emergency Operations Centre which acts as command central for the city’s pandemic response, will be receiving the award along with Dr. Elizabeth Richardson, Hamilton’s medical officer of health. Both have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic in the best interests of the health and safety of all citizens.
Congratulations to Paul, who becomes the second member of our Board to be awarded with this achievement, joining Ron Foxcroft who was also named Hamilton Citizen of the Year in 1997.
