It is with great sadness that the executive announces the passing of long-time Hamilton Board referee and life member Barry Coombe.

Barry was a member of the Hamilton Board of Approved Basketball Officials for more than 45 years. His dedication was so well recognized, that he was the first ever recipient in 1995 of the Jim Lyle / Bob Wilmot Dedicated Officials Award given out each year to a deserving individual who exemplifies what being a part of the Hamilton Board is about. In 2018 Barry was inducted as a Life Member of the Hamilton Board, recognizing his exceptional long-term service that contributed to the foundation, growth and continued development of our Board.
