Final plans for the 2024 edition of the Fox 40 Officials Camp are coming together and registration is now full. Email confirmations have been sent to all registered attendees – we look forward to seeing you on August 21 & 22, 2024 at Bishop Tonnos High School in Ancaster. The Camp Schedule has been released including the addition of Special Guest Speaker, Paul Jones – please see below for full details.

Special Guest Speaker – Paul Jones

Paul Jones has been associated with Toronto Raptors broadcasts since the team’s inception during the 1995-96 season. He was part of the inaugural radio broadcast crew for the first two seasons as an analyst and then moved into the television realm working as a sideline reporter and analyst for both Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies broadcasts on TSN and CTV. Jones has also worked as a courtside reporter for Raptor broadcasts on Sportsnet, as well as studio shows for NBA TV Canada.
Last season Jones handled the radio play-by-play duties for TSN 1050 Toronto and served as the radio analyst for all games on Sportsnet 590 The FAN. During the NBA season he also hosts a weekly radio show (“Smith & Jones”).
Jones started broadcasting basketball on radio for the University of Toronto in 1989 and his experience includes coverage of basketball at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. He subsequently was part of the broadcast crew for the World Basketball Championship that was held in Toronto in 1994.
Jones also handled play-by-play duties for the Canadian Women’s Team at the 2012 Olympics in London on TSN. In 2022, he broadcasted the Canadian Senior Men’s team qualifying contests on Sportsnet leading up to Canada’s World Cup appearance.
As a player, Jones was a two-time conference all-star at York University in Toronto and represented Canada in international tournaments on two occasions earning a silver medal from the Commonwealth Tournament in New Zealand. He has coached at the high school and provincial team levels where he helped lead Team Ontario to silver and gold medals in consecutive years. Jones spent three years as an assistant coach at the CIS level at the University of Western Ontario.
Jones possesses three degrees, an Honours Bachelor of Science from York University, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Paul’s brother, Mark, is also in broadcasting currently working for ABC and ESPN in the United States. |

- 12:30 – Presentation on CBOC from Paul Johnson
- 1:00 – Campers split – 1/2 in Classroom Session for Rules Instruction / Interpretation & 1/2 in Gym for On-Court Instruction & Refereeing
